Sidestreets, North CyprusOne organisation in North Cyprus whose main aim is to integrate cultures through art is Sidetreets Educational and Cultural Initiatives Ltd, (it’s known as Arasokaklar in Turkish). This initiative, based in Lefkoşa, has been active since October 2007, although the original concept had been in the pipeline for some years previous. It’s a place hidden away in an army camp belonging to the Turkish Peace Forces and located out towards Güzelyurt. There is not much to read about it officially to be honest, so we thought we would go and see if we could expand a bit on that which has been written!
